Security consultant hijacks plane's navigation system

A security consultant has demonstrated a successful hack of the plane's navigation system using a custom built android app which could transmit navigation signals to the plane's control system thereby compromising the entire navigation system of the aircraft. It's as if you could control the entire navigation of the plane from the android app. 

Quote : - By taking advantage of two new technologies for the discovery, information gathering and exploitation phases of the attack, and by creating an exploit framework (SIMON) and an Android app (PlaneSploit) that delivers attack messages to the airplanes' Flight Management Systems (computer unit + control display unit), he demonstrated the terrifying ability to take complete control of aircraft by making virtual planes "dance to his tune."

App Store Changed to US From UK

I had an email from iTunes yesterday, you know the usual weekly ones which highlight the latest and greatest of apps in the store for that week. I viewed it on my phone and clicked the links in the email only to be taken directly to the apps from the App Store. But, a moment later I realised that the App Store version had changed to US!!. I didn't do anything here. ?, I tried in vain to change it back to the UK version, only to be frustrated by a warning message each time from the App Store :- something similar to - You can only use the UK version of the App Store from this apple Id..

Solution :- I went to settings >>iTunes and App Stores >> Sign out and Signed back it. Guess what ? , My App Store popped up and said :- "changing to UK version"..

Fundamental Theory Of Troubleshooting :- Turn if off and on again..

Sigh..!?, Frustrating this..

VPS Hosting

I'm Checking out the VPS Windows hosting option with #Arvixe.

I use Azure as well. I need to maximise my #Windows #Azure hosting services coupled with the #WebSpark program offerings. Windows Azure is a great platform. I'm equally excited about my VPS because its going to be hosted on Windows Server 2012. I have plans to leverage cloud services from the Windows Server with my #Azure account.

I sometimes get a feeling that Microsoft may be biting into the profits of the hosting companies providing custom VPS / Dedicated server hosting options. As Azure gains momentum, more and more hosting companies, especially with the VPS/ dedicated server segment offerings will start taking a hit.. Lets wait and watch. Azure Rocks , so does Windows VPS hosting !!
